Apple is seeking an Audio Business Data Science Manager to join a team passionate about Apples audio services as a part of the Apple Media Products (AMP) Data Science & Analytics organization.
This role provides the opportunity to work with Apples Audio services covering Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, iTunes Music, and Beats by Dre. A successful candidate will help drive growth across these services and headphones businesses by using data science and analytic insights to evolve our 1st party services and audio platform. Specifically, this role will help manage the health of the businesses and grow our consumer base by evaluating various initiatives plus partnering with business, finance, product and R&D teams on strategic opportunities.
The team’s culture centers around rapid iteration with open feedback and debate along the way, plus strong collaboration with business, product, and engineering partners. We encourage independent decision-making and taking smart risks.
As an organization, AMP Data Science & Analytics collaborates with executives and various stakeholders across business, product, design, engineering, and marketing teams. Our mission is to drive innovation at Apple through in-depth quantitive research of the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Fitness, Apple One, and other services.
Establish a center of excellence for the Audio Business Data Science team by uncovering business-actionable insights in collaboration with the Apple Music, Podcasts, and Beats teams
Oversee large complex projects from conception to completion, develop roadmaps and requirements, identify risks and develop contingency plans, evaluate impact, and regularly communicate status to executives
Establish, enhance, and socialize top line and operational metrics that accurately represent the business state of health
Lead proactive analyses that identify key drivers of business health metrics, and make recommendations that optimize overall business performance
Drive the develop reporting measures to expand the portfolio of self-service dashboards and reports to inform, enable, and empower Audio business stakeholders
Draft schema and instrumentation requirements to enrich core datasets for new business features and Audio product launches
Measure the impact of growth initiatives for the Apple Music subscription business by maximizing user acquisition, conversion, and retention though improved user experience, marketing offers, and business development partnerships
Expand the recently-launched Podcasts subscriptions platform by identifying successful monetization initiatives that grow both content creators and consumers
Establish top line metrics for the Beats consumer products business including understanding and leveraging relationships among sales, price, distribution, and media marketing
Develop, recruit, and train a diverse team of high-performing data scientists focused on uncovering insights from large-scale data across the audio businesses
